What are my running goals?
My running goals for 2016 are to 1000 miles,
complete my first half, and full marathon. The first full marathon I’m currently training for is the California International Marathon in December. In the future, I would like to train for Spartan race and qualify for the Boston Marathon.
How did I get into running?
I accidentally stumbled into the FroYo 5K event on Facebook in June 2015 where I saw my two of my friends who were either interested or going to the event. I thought I would celebrate my weight-loss journey by running it. That is when I started training for the event.
Why do I run?
I run to for weight-loss, for health/fitness, to meet people, relieve stress, reconnect with the community and with nature, challenge and improve myself, and inspire others.
Where do I run?
Usually at McKinley Park, Southside Park, Capitol Park, William Land Park, around the State Capitol, and the American River Bike Trail (Jedediah Smith Memorial Trail). As time goes on, I’m always expanding my routes as I’m increasing my running distance.
What is my favorite food?
My favorite foods are pizza and Mexican food. What kind of pizza? Just about any non-vegetarian/cheese pizza. What Mexican food? Usually tacos, burritos, enchiladas, and really spicy foods.
